The macadam is a slightly dilapidated pub on the wrong side of the tracks, which gives it a certain rough and ready charm. When you walk into the inn, you know you're getting a no frills Irish experience, and it's all the better for it. It's spacious, convivial and the staff are well versed in the conventions of service. It's a really fun place. At least that's what the vaguely funky crowd would have you believe if you were to judge by how much they shout and laugh raucously at jokes they're obviously unable to hear. What a great little boozer ! This spit and sawdust "pub" is fun, cheap and doesn't "fart higher than it's arse" as the french would say. If you're after a warm welcome and affordable drinks then this wouldn't be on the top of my list of pubs in Montpellier. C'est officiel, Fitz Patrick's a le meilleur Guinness en France ! Je sais, j'ai travaillé pour Guinness à travers toute la France. Elle est fraîche, crémeuse et toujours bien présentée. Depuis onze années je goûte avec joie ce nectar irlandais au Fitz Patrick's. Read more...

Ca fait des années que je rends visite aux Sisters. Toujours un vrai plaisir que ça soit pour déjeuner en terrasse en été ou à l'intérieur en hiver. C'est l'accueil qui est toujours formidable, chose rare mais fort apprécié par cet irlandais qui a adopté cette ville. Read more...
